Blue Estate is a light gun game that doesn't use a light gun. Grab your DualShock 4, because this on-rails shooter uses gyroscope technology to take players through eight exciting stages. Too bad the jokes are awful and the gameplay isn't as accurate as needed, because Blue Estate does a great job of staging action.

Sometimes sex and violence just isn't enough. I'll be honest - I had no idea Blue Estate even existed until I received an e-mail concerning [...]

Overall, Blue Estate is a fun little shooter that has a sense of humour, but ends too soon. I did enjoy the game but also did feel that it got a little too repetitive. If you’re a fan of on rail shooters this is sure to please. If not, it still might be worth a whirl, since it is priced appropriately for what it offers.

If you love low-brow jokes that aren't funny, and laughing at overweight people just because they exist, you’d still be hard pressed to enjoy Blue Estate. I have no idea if it’s faithful to the comics that spawned it, but after the time I’ve spent with it, I don’t think I want to know. It does a lazy imitation of a genre that’s always been short on creativity to begin with, and even if its prehistoric social politics didn’t bother me, its relentlessly try-hard approach to comedy surely still would have.

Otherwise that’s about what you can expect out of Blue Estate. The story, as mentioned earlier, will probably take you around 3 or so hours to complete, with levels lasting anywhere from 20-30 minutes (reflecting their more chaotic pace, Arcade levels can be significantly shorter in length). Affordably priced, Blue Estate is a game that can be completed in a single sitting or two, but there is definite enjoyment to be had here.
