Those concerns aside, Dead or School is a good game that offered quite a bit of fun. We liked the customisation and combat, and the story was interesting, it's just a shame that tonally it missed the mark. It's game suited to Castlevania fans, certainly, but only those who don't find this sort of questionable content troubling.

It's very likely you'll encounter multiple final bosses that you simply aren't prepared for. As something of a budget entry into the same genre occupied by Onechanbara, Dead or School is decent fun. Being a budget game it struggles to maintain a consistency in tone and experience, but a solid loot and upgrade system, some great boss fights, and a good sense of humour, all help to see it through.
