Frozen Synapse 2's combat will keep pulling you back in, and the open world is a fun sandbox that looks and sounds fantastic. The turtling A.I. is still a pain, though.

Frozen Synapse 2 is an almost instantly recommendable game, with some of the most tense, tactical gameplay you can find online. Unfortunately, its single player experience isn’t as much fun as the hugely thrilling multiplayer experience.

A tale of two games, Frozen Synapse 2 is best when you’re battling it out like you did in the original. Thankfully, that’s a large portion of what you’re doing in this game.
