If you're already a fan or simply want some puzzle platforming fun, KLONOA Phantasy Reverie Series is here to knock your socks off.
Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series contains two of the best 2.5D platformers out there. With adorable characters and a heart-wrenching story, it’s well worth diving into the world of dreams despite the less than bare minimum updates made. Wahoo!
Klonoa returns in style, bringing two hidden gems to modern platforms with a fresh coat of paint.
Fans of the series will feel right at home. Monkey Craft has put together a really nice package to celebrate Klonoa’s 25th birthday and everything has been executed really well. Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Collection demonstrates both why these games are fondly remembered and why Klonoa didn’t go on to become more famous. Flawed gems perhaps, but important ones.
Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series is a dream come true for those who appreciate its value, but it lacks enough content to create a compelling purpose for someone to play through the games again.
The fifth and sixth generations of consoles were by far my favorites, as they were an integral part of my childhood, but the PS1 and PS2 weren’t systems I owned back in the day, thus I missed on the Klonoa games when they first came out. Even though they screamed “Nintendo-ish”, considering how similar they looked and played to the Kirby franchise, they remained PS exclusives for a long time, with the exception of a Wii remake of the first game. Bandai Namco, wanting to capitalize on 90...
