LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars will include all the characters from the animated TV series, as well as some fan-favorite characters from the theatrical Star Wars Saga. The game will feature brand new battle modes, giving players head-to-head combat and an upgraded level builder, allowing the creation of customized bases and in-game battlefields.
A few frustrating moments and some jittery split screen action aside, Lego Star Wars III has sold me on the Lego series of games. LSW III trumps even Nintendo's own games in its ability to foster truly cooperative and casual local multiplayer. I can't tell you if this is the pinnacle of the series, but if it is, the hike up to the top must be a pleasant journey.

LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars is a great example of an OK game. It’s not bad, but its uninspired level design and repetitious nature keep it from being a must-buy for any of the portables. In an age where everything is capable of online play, it just doesn’t make sense for a franchise famous for its cooperative play to be single player only. Still, it’d be a great distraction for kids, who are less likely to be annoyed by the repetitive level design.
Like your favourite pair of slippers, the LEGO series offers that same sense of familiarity and warmth each time you return to it. With familiar characters and well-known locales to admire, plus a bucket load of charm, it can turn even the most well known franchises into something fresh. No surprise then that they have plumped for a further addition to what was, apparently, the complete Star Wars saga.
