LEGO The Incredibles is a perfectly fun entry into the LEGO series, but it just doesn't do anything to stand out outside of its unique license.

Don’t get me wrong – LEGO The Incredibles is fun. It’s just as entertaining as any other LEGO game. But that’s the problem. It doesn’t stand out in any way. Minus a few small tweaks and improvements in technical fidelity, we’ve essentially been playing the same LEGO game since 2005’s LEGO Star Wars. If you’re still not tired of the formula, then you’ll absolutely love The Incredibles. But for the rest of us, it’s just more of the same old brick-bashing.

Not an incredible game - but LEGO The Incredibles definitely delivers fanservice for everyone that enjoys Pixar's characters.

Go and see the movie (unless you don't mind the game spoiling it for you), then get the family around and set about restoring order to Municiberg. LEGO The Incredibles is a fun, focused LEGO game that ditches a lot of the extra fripperies, and is all the better for it.

The major exception to this is the inclusion of other Pixar characters, all of whom are unlocked by completing Crime Waves. From Toy Story’s Woody to Coco’s Miguel, every Pixar film is represented. If anything, including other Pixar characters showed that Lego The Incredibles would have worked better as a Lego Pixar game.

Overall LEGO The Incredibles is an alright game that truly delivers on collecting and charm. It’s always fun to see some great franchises get the LEGO treatment, but the gameplay falls short from the same mechanics as previous LEGO titles. However, LEGO The Incredibles is geared to fans of LEGO games and unlocking iconic characters from the Incredibles universe. Kids will love this game and will have hours of fun. As for advanced or adult gamers, this game has its highs and lows and is exactly what it was meant to be…A game for kids.

You better have to choose if it’s worth spending your spare cash, because it might not be the game for you and it might be for others.

Traveller's Tales' latest is exactly what you expect it to be- for now, that's still a good thing.

The licensed LEGO games have covered plenty of cinematic ground - especially if you include the now defunct LEGO Dimensions line - and at this point they’ve become a bit of a video game institution. While you’d think the well would’ve run dry over the last decade or so, the arrival of LEGO The Incredibles, to coincide with the release of the latest Pixar film, shows that no kid-friendly movie franchise is safe, and that this sort of LEGO title could conceivably be around for many years to come.

The progressive strides of each successive Lego game has led to more and more creativity, huge set pieces, hilarious boss battles, and innovative puzzles that neatly settled together in the culmination of the toys to life game Lego Dimensions. While the series didn’t run its fully intended lifespan, the fact remains the ambitious project of mashing together smaller universes and encouraging players to interact in new ways – both in and out of gameplay – was captivating enough to encompass what we old folks had growing up with just Lego. It inspired imagination and wild crossovers. With Lego The Incredibles...

We've played with plenty of blocky superheroes over the years but this time around, it's a family affair.

All in all, Lego The Incredibles is another fun and enjoyable entry in the well-established series, but it does seem to have been simplified to be even more accessible for younger players. This isn’t a bad thing in and of itself but given the already easy nature of Lego games, this one feels like an introduction to the series. The main levels are great, the world hub is fine but feels a little sparse, and the introduction of Pixar characters from other titles is a nice touch, but it’s all starting to feel a bit too samey and many of...
