Madden NFL 13 Reviews
Professional reviews from gaming critics
Madden NFL 13 does something the Madden franchise hasn't done in years: it makes me want to keep playing. Yes, the commentators will repeat themselves and funky animations are going to pop up, but the game as a whole is so good. The TV presentation, the refined gameplay, the more lifelike physics -- it all adds up to Madden NFL 13 being something truly special.
Madden NFL 13 is the most realistic football game to date and offers a true-to-life game day presentation. With reworked gameplay, Connected Careers, and a new physics=based engine, it's worth checking out even if you've been bored with the series lately.
Madden NFL 13 provides an immersive and authentic experience that fans have come to expect from the franchise, including all 32 NFL teams and more than 1,700 NFL players.
Meaningful changes to core gameplay features and modes make this one of the best Madden titles in recent memory.

If you’re a Madden veteran, you probably made your platform decision this year. As such, I can’t recommend you get this game, as it is, at best, only comparable to what’s already available. However, Madden NFL 13 on Wii U shows the potential for football games on the system. The GamePad could be something special for sports games, giving you that extra layer of control and depth, while also offering Off-TV Play. Madden on Wii U isn’t superlative this year, but I would keep an eye on this series; the potential is there, it just hasn’t been fully tapped.
