Mistfall Hunter is a new PvPvE action RPG with extraction and battle royale mechanics, set in a fantasy world overcome by supernatural mist.
Mistfall Hunter’s rewarding combat and flexible buildcraft soften extraction’s hardest edges, but also dulls much of its tension.
Mistfall Hunter has a few good ideas, but lacklustre gameplay and somewhat shallow RPG elements make the extraction elements more monotonous than engaging.
Mistfall Hunter is a great game that's buried under some questionable design choices. In its best moments, its combat keeps you on the edge of your seat. In its worst moments, you'll constantly be wondering why the devs did things the way they did. All in all, if you're looking for an extraction title that doesn't involve the usual mechanics, then Mistfall Hunter is for you. Unfortunately, it also comes with a lot of problems, like poor UI, balance, and some interesting QoL choices.
