A staggering improvement upon a solid foundation, Remnant 2 is an engrossing Soulslike that brings all the horror and joy of alien world exploration to wonderfully dark fruition.

Remnant II is a fantastic fantasy shooter, offering a dark and enticing series of worlds to explore, loot and conquer. Whether you’re playing solo or in co-op, this is easily one of the game experiences of the year.

Remnant II, however, manages to linger in my mind with its glow-up: memorable, impressive, and damningly fun.

Remnant: From the Ashes turned out to be an unexpectedly good production, so I expected at least the same from the sequel. To my surprise, I got much more! Remnant 2 is a title definitely worth recommending to anyone who appreciates a challenge.

I cannot have enough of Remnant II’s fantastic co-op gameplay, especially thanks to its intense replayability. However, I do wish there had been more emphasis on the story to have something to root for along the way!

A few years after the surprisingly good original, we now have a sequel in the form of Remnant II and it makes for one impressive game.

A superior sequel sees Gunfire Games push the Remnant series to new heights. Those heights cause some nosebleeds, but they’re worth it to experience one of the most interesting action RPG experiences I’ve had in recent years.

Remnant II gives players a brutal and beautiful odyssey across time and space. It won't hold your hand, it will barely tell you where you're going or how to get there, but the adventure is certainly one worth experiencing.

Remnant 2’s revamped archetype system and improved world generation breathe new life into what otherwise remains an iterative sequel that sees no need to fix what isn’t broken. Great gunplay and creative weapon mods fuel its addictive moment-to-moment gameplay, while offering enough reasons to keep clearing dungeons, grinding materials, and upgrading or trying out new guns.

For every sequel that manages to pull an Assassin's Creed II, there are many more that almost make it. Whether it's a result of not quite realising a project's full potential or introducing issues the original never had, these games are just as enjoyable as they are disappointing. Remnant II, a follow-up to the unexpectedly good Remnant: From the Ashes, is one of those titles. It builds upon the P...

Remnant 2’s story is as obtuse as the secrets it keeps. But from a pure gameplay standpoint, it’s a phenomenal game and incredibly replayable whether you’re flying solo or with a couple of friends. It’s just a shame that so many of the game’s secrets were designed to be solved by a Google Search rather than the player.
