Relatively simple in concept but complex in the possible manipulation of the market, Offworld Trading Company manages to make a type of gameplay that’s traditionally slow into something fast and exciting. It’s a tad too easy to trip yourself up before you even begin, but once it gets rolling this multiplayer-friendly cold war of capitalism forces tough, rapid-fire strategic choices.

Offworld Trading Company provides a breath of fresh air much needed by the RTS genre. Developed by Soren Johnson’s Mohawk Games, this game lets you conquer Mars using stocks, industrial sabotage, price wars, and book cooking. And it's fun!

Landing on an alien planet is going to be difficult for absolutely anyone – save for perhaps the Mars Rover. Gathering food and water is going to be a concern, creating materials so you can build upon and expand your home base is also going to be a concern and – oh yeah – everyone else who lands on the planet is going to be a monumental pain in the rear end.
