The collaboration between Slightly Mad Studios and its community of fans have led to fantastic results. Project Cars is one the best, and most authentic racing experiences we've seen in quite some time.

Deep and demanding but incredibly user-friendly, Project CARS looks great, sounds fantastic, and feels even better. The action is ferocious and tactical, the weather effects are awesome, and it’s brimming with content to explore. This is real racing done right.
Doing a proper and exhaustive review of a game that simulates a real world activity that involves a fair bit of complexity in a short window of time is always a daunting task. Things that appear OK at the outset may turn out to be deal breakers later on. Or, more hopefully, deficiencies in the original release are later on fixed. The Project Cars franchise has completed its test runs resulting in several delays, has gone around that final turn on its warm up lap to go gold, and now is crossing the starting line for its release dates with multiplatform launches. The target ambition is high. Has...
After four years spent in development under the watchful eye of players and after repeated delays, Project CARS, an old-school racing simulator, is finally out. Will it immediately take the pole position among other car games?
A viable alternative to the old guard of driving simulators, that values freedom of choice and gritty realism over needless feature creep.
Project CARS is an ambitious take on the racing simulator that brings a lot of fresh ideas and improvements to the genre. A number of patchable flaws hold it back, but with an innovative career structure and the challenging but rewarding car handling and racing, this is almost essential for racing fans.
Project Cars delivers a solid racing sandbox that is both entertaining to play and stunning to see in action. Unfortunately, the game's career system lacks proper progression and any incentive to complete its races. Racing enthusiasts are sure to enjoy all that Project Cars has to offer, while those looking for a game to compete with its console competition will have to keep waiting or look elsewhere.
Project CARS is not for the faint of heart. It undoubtedly has the ability to grab players and take them on an outstanding tour of Simply Mad's racing world, and does look absolutely stunning at times. However, the game is ultimately frustrating with a controller and features more than its fair share of bugs. With a wheel, it's a more rewarding proposition. The sounds that the developer is making suggests that improvements are to come in the form of support and patches, so this may be a different prospect in a month or two. For now though, if you're lucky, the way you play racing games may gel...
Because of that, I feel Project Cars won’t receive the mass appeal games like Forza Horizon 2 or DriveClub have received. Instead, only those who are really into realistic driving simulators may flock towards Project Cars, although they might get bored easily considering there really aren’t any unique game modes either. It carries a sense of realism in spades, but there isn't much under the hood. At least it supports VR headsets, so I could also see those looking to get that level of immersion within their racing games giving Project Cars a shot. Outside of those target demographics, Project C...
