Samurai Warriors 4-II is a great addition to the series and proves to be plenty of fun, whether you're playing solo or with a friend. Go get yourself lost in this Feudal era drama.
Another thing is the lack of much to do with your created character. There are a lot of options for to customize a character but they can only be used in survival and free mode. I know it's hard to add something like this to story, but without it, I didn't see the need to make a character or use it. Just a missed opportunity in my opinion.
If you are one of the people who appreciate this series' unique brand of action gameplay, then there is plenty to like in Samurai Warriors 4-II- the best gameplay system in the series, combined with a great setting, a massive amount of content, and the all new Survival Mode make this game an easy sell for the fan.
Stuck in a strange realm somewhere between a sequel and an expansion, Samurai Warriors 4-II is, in many ways, a follow up to last year's superb Samurai Warriors 4 – but it's certainly not the inevitable Samurai Warriors 5. It borrows characters, stages, music, mechanics, voice acting, and even artwork from 2015's historical hack and slasher, but to call it an enhanced edition isn't accurate either, since its general structure is totally different. Hey, it's no wonder people get confused when it comes to musou titles.
Does this re-release katana-ther hole through the competition?
Do you like samurai? Do you like action games? Do you like feudal era Japan? Do you know who Nobunaga Oda is? If the answer to any of those questions is a yes, then there’s a high chance you’re either going to be loving Samurai Warriors 4-II, or you’ve already played Samurai Warriors. If your case is the latter, then you might be slightly disappointed by Samurai Warriors 4-II, but if it’s the former then you may have just found yourself a new game to love!
