The Bradwell Conspiracy Reviews
Professional reviews from gaming critics
Bossa has taken their penchant for odd ideas, combining it with an engaging narrative and clever puzzles to create a conspiracy worth uncovering.
The Bradwell Conspiracy is a quiet exploration of resistance under capitalism, and the repercussions of a 'better' world. The environments are extravagantly detailed and the puzzles become increasingly intricate, towards a denouement that's shocking yet grounded in our own experiences.
It's not often that you can forgive puzzles taking a backseat in a puzzle game, but The Bradwell Conspiracy's narrative, visuals and voice acting more than compensate for its lack of puzzling weight.
The Bradwell Conspiracy is a game whose lofty concept doesn't quite match its execution. Its light, fairly arbitrary puzzles aren't particularly challenging, but its strong narrative is deployed almost perfectly throughout to weave them all together. The Bradwell Conspiracy is still an enjoyable journey, however, and certainly worthy of your time.
A lean, exciting conspiracy-thriller whose successes offset some notable faults.“Where, oh, where did this game come from?” As someone who takes—somewhat overinflated—pride in following lists of upcoming [...]
The Bradwell Conspiracy offers an intriguing take on the first-person puzzler formula, even if its USP lacks the simple creativity of other similar puzzle games. The story itself has some real potential, but it ultimately fails to really flesh out some of the more interesting beats hinted at in news reports and audio logs. More interactive than Firewatch but far less challenging than The Witness, this is a puzzler that’s ultimately more style than substance. And with so many issues with performance in its launch state, The Bradwell Conspiracy on Switch doesn’t prove itself to be the ultimate p...

The Bradwell Conspiracy does a fantastic job of creating a compelling world, but it fails to do anything meaningful with it.
There’s nothing more tantalizing than a game with potential. Be it a unique mechanic, a novel setting or an innovative twist on familiar tropes, originality can sell players on new worlds and unproven concepts. Originality can also cause problems in production. A unique mechanic can lead to design headaches. Untested locales can quickly become stale and tiresome. Sometimes, tropes are tropes for a reason. Despite a promising start, I left THE BRADWELL CONSPIRACY thinking about the murky swamp between a standard AAA blockbuster and an indie darling. While not without its high points, there’s no...
The Bradwell Conspiracy feels like a waste. The game pulls you in on a high, but falters every step of the way. The puzzles can be entertaining, but the Substance system is frustrating and cumbersome at its absolute best moments. The story makes a big deal out of various themes, but there are only fleeting moments where it all matters. I think that the biggest problem of The Bradwell Conspiracy is that getting through it is neither fun nor rewarding. There are so many frustrating moments to be had that I would simply rather play something else.
