Left Behind is the perfect complimentary side-dish for The Last of Us. It’s happier at points, but just as bleak at others, and everything else is pretty much on par with any of the other chapters in the tale. There’s a brilliant approach to the narrative, while Ellie and Riley’s charm shines throughout, their wonder and imagination matching exactly how you’ll feel as you return to this world.

The Last Of Us: Left Behind adds new combat mechanics and an in-depth look into Ellie’s past, which is worth exploring for any fan of The Last of Us. It gave a poignant insight into Ellie’s past that is worth playing through.

Such is the high bar set by Naughty Dog that we expected a little more from this bite-sized DLC package. Nonetheless, Left Behind is gloriously produced with an excellent storyline spin-off that gives you a deeper insight into Ellie's character.

An enjoyable intriguing piece of DLC that doesn't add much to the almighty experience that was The Last Of Us.
