While WWE All Stars is certainly not perfect, it's probably one of the best handheld wrestling games available on a Nintendo platform. The additional power of the system means the conversion from Wii to 3DS is far less jarring than from Wii to DS, and WWE All Stars is a great example of that. If you're a fan of arcade-style wrestling games, or you loved the console version, there's no reason to hesitate picking up this handheld edition.
WWE All Stars was a good wrestling game when it first shipped to stores this past Spring. Not a great one -- since it had a few issues holding it back -- but still a good one, with a fun premise of making the past and present of the WWE come together and collide. And now, eight months later on the 3DS, it's still a good game. It's just disappointing that the developers only added a handful of mostly inconsequential extra modes in the interim, and didn't take that extra time available to fix a few of the first versions' flaws.
WWE All Stars enters the virtual ring with an incomparable roster of WWE Legends and WWE Superstars, over-the-top action and its own unique, impactful style.
When WWE was actually called WWF, you couldn't help but be a big fan.
