Total War: Pharaoh isn't a terrible game, but it's definitely not the grand return to the heyday of historical Total War games that fans have been desperately waiting for. While it falls short of that, it can be enjoyable for those who enjoy focused, small campaigns.

Age of Wonders 4

Fetching visuals, deep strategic gameplay, tons of room for personalization, and great replayability, make Age of Wonders 4 and easy recommendation for those who love building their own magical empire.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is an absolutely amazing return to form for the series and puts the world at your fingertips. One could say that the sky is the limit, but this game's sky doesn't have any limits.

The Dead or Alive series is often seen as popular exclusively due to its alluring imagery and the generous showcase of skin and bouncing flesh. Yet, it has pretty much always been a very competent fighting franchise.

Marvel's Spider-Man
10/10

Whether you're just swinging around the city searching for the many landmarks and collectibles, or fighting crime by flexing Spidey's amazing super-powers and gadgets, Marvel's Spider-Man is a really a pleasure to play at all times. I can say with absolute confidence that this is by far the best superhero game I ever played.

Cory Barlog and his team managed to reinvent the wheel, and while they added more pieces, it rolls smoother than ever before, providing the best God of War experience of the history of the franchise.

Dynasty Warriors 9
7.5/10

While combat remains exhilarating and fun in a way that will feel familiar to veterans of the series, Dynasty Warriors 9 isn't just one versus a thousand anymore. We're part of a war that unfolds all around us, with plenty of allies in need of help and enemies begging for a healthy beating. It's a bold step in the right direction, and while Omega Force may have overextended in certain aspects, the fun outweighs the jank and the experience remains one that I am eager to return to and to see improved and further evolved in Dynasty Warriors 10 or Samurai Warriors 5.

Monster Hunter: World
9.5/10

Monster Hunter: World is a brave new step in a refreshing direction for a beloved franchise that has been plagued for too long by antiquated hardware and confined into a niche by lack of promotion in the west. Even more impressive is that Capcom did much more than taking the easy way out and simply improving the graphics.

Yakuza Kiwami
9/10

Until then, I will keep my fingers crossed, because the only thing better than a fantastic remake of a beloved game, is two fantastic remakes of two beloved games. Yet, whether the sequel will come or not, Yakuza Kiwami will go down in history as one of the best remakes ever created, for a game that was already great on PS2.

If you want an enthralling Final Fantasy story, with likable, beautifully depicted characters and interesting enemies, that will keep you hooked with a monumental crescendo driving like an unstoppable phantom train towards an explosive climax, Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood will provide exactly that, and then some.
