Split Fiction is one of the most creative, inventive and downright delightful action-adventure games I’ve ever played. The team behind It Takes Two has once again crafted a genre-defying cooperative romp. However, the overly earnest and clunky story grates and acts as a barrier to all the madcap fun.
Playing Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 feels like stepping back through the pages of history. The game’s commitment to authenticity is remarkable, and its focus on realistic gameplay makes it one of the most immersive RPGs ever. However, its lack of player conveniences is often a double-edged sword.
Planet Coaster 2 successfully builds on the formula laid out by its excellent predecessor. Being able to construct water parks is a delightful addition, and the new career mode is even more engaging. But you’ll have to tolerate a few rough edges.

TopSpin 2K25 is a franchise revival done right. The beloved tennis simulator has never played this well, and the commitment to authenticity will delight fans. However, the career mode is a grind, and online play lacks staying power.
Helldivers 2 is an excellent cooperative shooter that manages to deliver memorable moments in almost every play session. The combat is highly polished, the upgrade system is deeply rewarding and the absurdist tone fits perfectly. Unfortunately, unstable servers have somewhat tarnished its launch.
The Last of Us Part II Remastered is an essential PS5 game for new players and veterans alike. The visual and performance upgrade is minor compared to the PS4 original, but the suite of additional content is worth the admission price. The roguelike No Return mode is a real winner, and the deeper insight into the game’s development will delight longtime fans of the franchise.
