'Spilled!’ is a short, sweet adventure that takes roughly an hour to play. But it’ll also stick around with you for quite a while after.
If you’re willing to deal with some frustrations, you’ll see that Atomfall is an ambitious game, unlike many other FPS games available on the market. The world feels great to explore, and the firefights are some of the most exciting I’ve ever had in a video game. I just wish that some of the other parts were up to snuff compared to the graphical presentation.
Regardless of these little issues, Atelier Yumia is a great step forward for the roughly 30-year-old franchise. It proves that GUST still knows how to make the franchise feel new and exciting, all while keeping long-term fans happy. Yumia is a great protagonist, and the action-battle RPG feels great in action. Be ready to learn as you play, and prepare to sink plenty of time into this world. It’s a fantastic addition, and I’m already eager to see what Yumia’s next adventure is going to look like.
Incredibly well polished, easy to comprehend, and deep enough for players to jump into and immediately enjoy, Two Point Museum is worthy of a display in the halls of history. A genuine masterpiece of the simulation genre, and one that everyone that has even the smallest inkling of interest should check into.
If you’ve been looking for something to scratch the itch left behind by games like Undertale and even Earthbound? I would strongly suggest looking into Everhood 2. It’s one of the most interesting games I’ve experienced, in nearly every way. It still is stuck in my mind, and I’m not sure if it will ever leave.
While I do wish that there were, technically, offline modes available to play, we can only hope that 2K will add that option after launch. Local multiplayer feels great, and online multiplayer is just as solid as ever. If you’ve been searching for a reason to get back on the green, there’s never been a better time than now.
We need more games like The Plucky Squire out there, games that aren’t afraid to take themselves too seriously. To push fourth wall boundaries past their normally just referential limits. It feels and looks incredible, the story never feels as if it’s dragging on, and it’s just a joyful experience to see firsthand or to play with anyone of any age. It’s a tale for the ages, and I’ll be singing the praises of The Plucky Squire to anyone willing to listen for a long time.
I figured I would wait until the end to say this; I’m not even that much of a basketball fan, but I couldn’t stop thinking about NBA 2K25. I wanted to play more of it in any free moment that I could, and it’s genuinely sparked an interest in the sport that I’ve never truly had before. It’s a great step forward for the franchise, and I hope to continue seeing the bar of quality pushed higher with each subsequent offering from 2K Sports.
While The Casting of Frank Stone may have been my first experience with a Supermassive Game, it’s encouraged me to check out their back catalog. It’s a compilation of schlocky, homemade horror with a splash of the extraterrestrial to keep things spicy. No matter which way you approach it, as an avid Dead by Daylight fan or someone unfamiliar with the franchise, you’re in for the ride of your life.
While some technical shortcomings, alongside its short runtime, hold it back from being one of the greatest indies ever made, it’s a hilarious romp that I strongly suggest you give a try. I’ve spent $70 on games that I’ve enjoyed far less than this, and those had far more than just a rodent with a rifle.
