No one expected much from Halo Wars eight years ago, but it was actually pretty great. And you can kind of say the same for Halo Wars 2.

Pokémon just turned 20 years old this month, but Nintendo still can’t shake the belief that the “Pocket” part of “Pocket Monsters” means the beloved core adventures can only be released on handheld systems. That’s a shame.

We’re still a year out from the release of Gears of War 4, so rather than let three whole years pass without a new release in the enormously popular shooter series, Microsoft has pumped out a remastered edition of the original smash.

The Sack is back, and this time he’s got the power of the PlayStation 4 behind him in LittleBigPlanet 3. That means more creation options, glossier graphics, and even new playable characters – but sadly, this sequel also brings more bugs and issues.

Call of Duty: Ghosts really felt like the last gasp of the series’ immensely successful last-gen shooter formula.
