Resistance: Fall of Man Reviews
Professional reviews from gaming critics
Resistance: Fall of Man is absolutely the best PS3 game available on launch day and an extremely playable action game that will satisfy even the most exhausting FPS fans. But the multiplayer elements really take this one to the next level.
This is currently the premier shooter on the PS3 - but that's not saying a whole lot right now. It's definitely not breaking fresh ground in any one area, apart from some excellent multiplayer facilities, but in lieu of Killzone 2, we'd take a sequel to Resistance: Fall of Man any day of the week. Is it worth the price of PS3 admission? Well, that depends on how much you love your shooters. But when you factor in MotorStorm too, these might just hold enough clout to sway your wallet towards the cashier. What do you think of Resistance: Fall of Man? Tell us your thoughts in the IGN AU Forums!
As a launch game Resistance ticks all the boxes; it includes a solid campaign, looks great and features strong online support. If you're picking up a PS3 it should be high on your must buy list.
Overall, Resistance: Fall Of Man is a great game with a compelling story without minding the graphics and is a great kickass shooter title. It lives up with its strong shooter genre gameplay elements. If you’re a graphic enthusiast, then you might be disappointed with the game, but if you do love stories that ends with a hanging moment, then you should try this game out. Insomiac Games delivered another AAA game last 2006 that made their first FPS title to be an epic title for the PS3 system.
