Injustice 2

NetherRealm Studios had two jobs with Injustice 2. Job one: Embrace the opportunity to tell one of the most exciting superhero stories ever. Job two: Deliver a fresh and exciting fighting game in a market that is shadowed by three giants of the genre that are rarely rivaled. The good news is, Injustice 2 does more than smash expectations, but obliterates them into vapour as if they were struck by Superman’s heat vision.

In the past, Sniper Ghost Warrior games have come under fire for how linear they can be, and how much hand-holding goes on throughout the games, guiding you through basic levels with enemies to eliminate from point A to point B. But CI games have ditched the linear formula for their next entry into the series, aptly named Sniper Ghost Warrior 3. In this iteration the developers have adopted a more open world style to the game.

Another year goes by and there’s one thing you can be sure of that will come along with it: FIFA is back. Sadly, FIFA 17 is only a slight upgrade on last years FIFA 16. Some new gameplay elements that players have been asking for have been included, like improved throw-ins, low shots at goal, and keeper controlled kicks. Not necessarily very exciting if you’re looking for a reason to pick up FIFA over the many other sport sims that are out there.

NBA 2K17

NBA2K17 oozes realness and it’s very clear that it’s a game put together by a team that are passionate and that live and breathe basketball. So much work has gone into this years installment in the series, right through from the detailed animation of the NBA stars to the fluid ease of movement allowing you to dash around the court and get stuck into thumping your rivals.
