NBA 2K16 was undoubtedly the best in the series. The only point against it was Livin' Da Dream, which limited your first year in the NBA, however, the rest of the game was fantastic. A ludicrously polished and tight game of basketball, NBA 2K17 is representative of a series that's at the top of its game. There are a few flaws, as ever, but they pale into insignificance against the consistent excellence that shines through in almost every nook and cranny of NBA 2K17. This is a shoo-in for All-Star status.

NBA 2K17 is another rock-solid game in the franchise. It features worthwhile updates to the dribbling and shooting mechanics, and backs up those improvements off the court in ways that make me care about managing my team. All in all, I know NBA 2K17 will be in my gaming rotation for many months to come.
I feel I should start by saying that I am a relapsed, British, fair-weather fan. Despite a fondness for the sport, it's been years since I’ve played a basketball game, and NBA 2K17 is not very accessible to newcomers.
One of the very best looking and playing sports games on the market today, NBA 2K17 continues to take from the "Free to Play" handbook in some of its best modes. Funnelling players towards microtransactions at every opportunity take away some of the fun, but not all.
The NBA 2K series has always been the most eye-catching of sport game franchises because of its excellent presentation and attention to detail, not to mention its stunningly realised visuals. NBA 2K17 is no different, and ups the ante to make quite possibly one of the best sporting experiences on PlayStation. Sure, it doesn't have any huge additions or new features, but a few tweaks here and there alongside some excellent fundamentals can go a long way, as evidenced by this year's edition.
NBA2K17 oozes realness and it’s very clear that it’s a game put together by a team that are passionate and that live and breathe basketball. So much work has gone into this years installment in the series, right through from the detailed animation of the NBA stars to the fluid ease of movement allowing you to dash around the court and get stuck into thumping your rivals.
The NBA 2K franchise is bringing another addition to the list of many season coinciding installments. With it are many new additions and many concepts carried over from before.
