Now you must be thinking by now “This game can’t get any better”, and that’s when I’d say “Oh but it does!”. Exclusively to the Playstation 3 are Joker challenge maps where you get to play as the fiendish villain himself. These aren’t just the same challenge maps with a Joker skin, the Joker plays completely differently from the Dark Knight and has his own little gadgets as well. You’re going to t...
Batman: Arkham Asylum is the greatest comic book videogame of all time. This is an adult Dark Knight story that is well-told, packs some truly fun gameplay elements, has topnotch voice talent, and feel like it's part of Batman canon. If I have to nitpick, I wish the cutscenes looked better as they can distract from the tale and that the AI was a bit more responsive, but those are tiny flaws...
The Arkham series has earned the prestige of being a fantastic and consistent video game franchise without any licensed game asterisks. With the exception of the ending which takes some liberties that probably shouldn't have been done Arkham Asylum is probably one of the best comic book adaptations of a game and one of the better games released this year. With some really great boss fights, not to mention the scarecrow sections that are simply outstanding, and lots of secrets to find. Arkham Asylum will have you wanting to go ba...
Comic book tie-ins and Batman games in particular have always come in for a rough ride. Perhaps it is because the quality of the licence has never really carried over into games, or maybe it is because one of comics most intriguing characters has always just been thrown into generic beat ‘em ups. It is a strange one to be sure, but it looks like we have finally found a title that does Batman justi...
