Call of Juarez: Gunslinger and Far Cry 3 immediately spring to mind as adventurous shooters you should play long before resorting to the desperate measure of playing Deadfall Adventures. It's an uninspired retread of good concepts, and an unfortunate visitor into a genre with some genuine giants. It might take you on a long trip across the globe to visit some attractive locations, but by the end the only temples I cared for were throbbing away in my head.

Deadfall Adventures actually contains some pretty fun ideas, but they’re so heavily buried in the incompetent and unconvincing gameplay that players will never really appreciate how much fun they could be. As it stands, the game isn’t one that we’d recommend at all, especially given how many other puzzlers and FPS titles are out there that actually get the very basics right.
Deadfall Adventures certainly has some problems but if you’re an Indiana Jones fan you really should be getting it. The shooting isn’t anything to write home about, animation is rather basic, voice acting is okayish, and there are glitches and little problems aplenty, but the puzzles, exploration, traps and amazing environments make the whole thing worthwhile. It took me around 8 hours to finish and while I explored a lot I certainly didn’t find all the treasures, so it’s got pretty g...
