I’m nearly 80 puzzles into Dokuro, and I’m still having a blast. In fact, it’s been hard to put down. I’m far from being the most talented puzzle gamer around, but Dokuro, no matter how difficult it can be at times, is rarely frustrating. Getting through each puzzle is a rewarding mixture of trial-and-error gameplay mixed with a little bit of luck, and watching the princess crouch down to pick the lone white flower at the end of each puzzle, signifying the completion of the task at hand, is a fitting reward for a job well done. Are you itching for a smart and interesting puzzle platformer? One with an undead theme and a hero faced with the challenge of rescuing a princess from his evil master? Then Dokuro's got you covered.
That being said, it is a very clever little puzzle game that tries to add something through commentary that lifts it well beyond standard puzzle platformer fare. If PC is the only way you have to play Dokuro, then it’s worth a go anyway.
