Dual Universe
Dual Universe is a Continuous Single-Shard sandbox MMORPG taking place in a vast Sci-Fi universe, focusing on emergent gameplay with player-driven in-game economy, politics, trade and warfare. Players can freely modify the voxel-based universe by creating structures, spaceships or giant orbital stations, giving birth to empires and civilizations.

Incredibly ambitious and equally unwieldy, Dual Universe is a challenging space sim in every sense of the word.
I think my first real moment where I stopped having fun in Dual Universe was after I wrote my review-in-progress and decided to jump into space to head off of Haven to Alioth, a nearby planet. After fighting gravity to successfully launch my ship laden with the goods I would need to establish another colony on Alioth, I spent the next twenty or so minutes soaring through space between the two planets.
Dual Universe allows players to mark their names in an expansive colony. The ambitious Kickstarter game has officially launched after a few years of development and early access. Unfortunately, developers Novaquark have released a hollow universe of mistakes and failed promises with an unflattering subscription model that has already put this game back into cryosleep.
