It's refreshing to play a game like this. I don't think I've experienced one since Conker. Although this game is not nearly as complex as that, it works well to send Scrat on his way.

Ice Age: Scrat’s Nutty Adventures isn’t a terrible game, but it is so old fashioned and average that it is difficult to recommend. If you have kids of the right age range and find it on sale, then it's fun enough. The lack of a movie to tie into leads to a particularly weak story that feels like it's tacking on a license instead of a genuine entry in the Ice Age series. Scrat may find his nut, but I was left unsatisfied by a functional but mediocre tie in.
Ice Age: Scrat’s Nutty Adventure is a video game that cost me a friend. I requested the game, and it finally showed up in my inbox shortly after its release. Of course, the time it showed up overlapped with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, a game my friends and I wanted to play together. “Come play with us Sam,” they said, and I wanted to. But I had to play Scrat’s Nutty Adventure. The next day one of my friends removed me because I never played with them in favor of playing bad kids games. So I hope this review is worth it.
