True Colors is by far the best entry in Life Is Strange to date. Pulling the focus away from powers and onto relationships allows the story to grow naturally, and beautifully, without losing the essence of what makes the series great.

Life is Strange’s premise as a franchise is simple: a drama reflecting the real world, with the caveat of a protagonist having some type of “superpowers.” Perhaps it’s a “curse,” if you choose to describe it through the lips of Alex Chen, the protagonist of True Colors. In this case, Alex can sense emotions; stronger emotions appear as aura, and there are other little nuances that you unlock through gameplay.

Life Is Strange: True Colors brings together likeable characters, a novel power, and a beautiful setting to tell a story that’ll have you engaged from beginning to end. It’s a little bit predictable but everything else – the writing, the locale, and just the general vibe – cement it as one of the strongest entries in the series.

Upon game completion I had enjoyed the experience and have no major complaints about it.  This is in my opinion one of the better entries in the Life Is Strange series.  The game performed well on my Series X, the artwork, music and voice acting is of the usual high calibre and fans of the universe will find this entry as enjoyable to play as any of the others that have gone before it.
