Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports Reviews
Professional reviews from gaming critics
You know what has constantly disappointed me during this generation? The Mario sports games on the Switch. Without exception, all of them felt rushed, formulaic, corporate as hell, and devoid of content. I don’t even care most of the content for these games would eventually get patched months later; first impressions are crucial in such expensive titles, and it’s hard to start to care about them like six months after their first release, when there will finally be enough content in it to ...
Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports is an ideal game for those familiar with the Looney Tunes series. Playing with friends may not be as exhaustive as any regular or arcade sports game, but it is still fun.
Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports is a mediocre collection that does a few things really well - such as the overall presentation and its fun rendition of golf. What drags it down are the other three sports, which are functional but arguably too clunky to attract long-term attention, as well as the lack of online multiplayer and any kind of a proper single-player mode. This game has charmed us for sure, and we'll keep coming back to it now and again, but it's definitely hard to recommend paying £39.99 / $49.99 for it.
Made up of four sports — soccer, basketball, tennis and golf — Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports should be an entertaining outing for up to four local players. Unfortunately, it's not: none of the games are enjoyable to play in the slightest, and not even the familiar cast of Looney Tunes characters is enough to save it.
I love Bugs Bunny and gang and was excited for Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports but sufferin' succotash, is it ever a letdown.
