Parking Garage Rally Circuit Reviews
Professional reviews from gaming critics
Parking Garage Rally Circuit knows exactly what it is: a tight racing game that feels like a victory lap of the arcade racers that inspired it. The controls are perfect. The visuals are somehow of its time yet timeless. And when everything clicks together this is a phenomenal racing game for both experts and newcomers alike. It would’ve been nice to play together with friends online, but I suppose their ghosts will have to do. This game feels like one of those small hidden gems that’s going to stand the test of time, one that doesn’t require tweaking with cars or switching between manual…
Parking Garage Rally Circuit channels raw thrills to create something truly magnificent. For those always on the hunt for the perfect line, Parking Garage Rally Circuit's speed, challenge, and aesthetics help this arcade racer fly sky-high.
Despite its brevity, Parking Garage Rally Circuit packs a huge punch. It’s not just its perfectly emulated retro aesthetic or its near-flawless execution of its central concept, either. It’s just so damned happy to be here. You can feel the passion behind it, and that energy is felt in all its facets. Most of them look like either 8-bit and 16-bit games, most notably NES and SNES titles. A smaller chunk is meant to resemble more modern, but equally nostalgic systems, like how Vaccine is meant to resemble a PS1 game and Corn Kidz 64 could (and should) have been ported to the Nintendo 64 without any issue. But have you ever thought about playing a game that’s meant t...
It's basically an okay game, at least if you look at its graphics, music and presentation. The graphics are actually incredibly charming and reflect the era very well. The music is also one of the game's big pluses (one of the few, unfortunately) and the tuneful ska tones are genuinely pleasant to listen to. The presentation is simple but accurate and could easily have been found in a game from the nineties. But then I don't have much else positive to say. For a short while I have fun, when for once things go well for me. If it had continued like that without me being brutally punished time an...
