It’s Crazy Dave’s fault. The tinpot-hatted neighbour from the original Plants vs. Zombies likes tacos so much he’s whisked you back in time just so he can eat the same taco he already wolfed down. Unfortunately, said time machine has taken you and Crazy Dave too far back in time. The music is exceptional for a game of a low entry price. The tunes will reflect the mood as well as the setting of each stage and is never an obstruction to your constant need to plant and collect. The Plants vs. Zombies music video is a reflection to the charm and personality that this game emanates. Plants vs. Zombies is charming and addictive, standing right up there with the best of PopCap's offerings like Peggle. It has that elusive "special something" that gets its hooks in you and convinces you to forego food, sleep, and other essentials just to see what the next level has in store. Even if you've already played through the game on PC or iPhone, the new versus multiplayer mode is definitely worth checking out.

In short Plants vs. Zombies does have a few minor issues, especially in that it is far too easy to beat. However, its depth in gameplay modes, mechanics and presentation catapult it to being an all around amazing experience. Plants vs. Zombies really is a game that belongs in every gamer’s collection as it an enjoyable and addictive title that manages to reinvent itself at every twist and turn.

If you have an electronic device released in the past few years, there's an extremely good chance that a version of Plants vs. Zombies is available for it. Since its original release back in 2009, the game has become somewhat of a measuring stick by which most tower defence games are judged. Now, PopCap Games has created a version for Vita and despite being basically more of the same, it might actually be the best version of the game so far.

Plants Vs. Zombies: Replanted adds just a few bells and whistles to the classic strategy game, but it's still just as fun as ever.
