Reigns: Her Majesty Reviews
Professional reviews from gaming critics
Reigns: Her Majesty is an intuitive and addictive experience that adds interactive items and amusing new scenarios to the gameplay of the original game. Playing without a touchscreen however, leaves something to be desired.
In my time as queen in Reigns: Her Majesty, I was torn apart by my subjects, eaten by wolves, and burned at the stake. I had affairs with pagan women, barbarian queens from other lands, and rakish explorers of new worlds. I was coronated again and again, born anew to rule once more. You’re always the queen, even if it kills you.
Play as the queen in this darkly funny follow-up.
Reigns: Her Majesty manages to defy a lot of your expectations, and will keep adding more surprising cards into its deck as you play.
Reign: Her Majesty is a simple game mechanically, but don't let that fool you. Your decisions are not always easy, and the consequences for bad decisions are often fatal. Tread lightly, My Queen, tread lightly indeed!
As was decreed in ages past: “Who runs the world? Girls.” And so our lord Queen Bee passed down this knowledge onto us, and it became gospel. The original Reigns came to us in late 2016 and while it was an awesome success it suffered from one major flaw — not enough Queens. Thankfully this has been quickly remedied this year with the release of Reigns: Her Majesty.
