Other games in the PlayLink series look to do far more interesting things with your mobile phone, but as far as a proof of concept goes, That’s You! certainly makes the case for the system, even if it’s not as convenient as it could be. If you have PlayStation Plus, it’s worth downloading both the game and the app to see for yourself how it all works, and while I personally felt this one doesn’t have the legs to hold interest beyond a couple of games, the technology behind it shows promise.
For a title that is supposed to be $20, it would be hard to recommend That’s You. At the low, low price of ‘free’ if you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber, you might as well pick it up. If you miss your chance now, I’d say watch for it to go on sale in the sub $10 range, because while fun, it’s one of those games you only want to play once in a while for one round when all your friends are available.
Removing the DualShock 3 and replacing it with a smart phone / tablet, That’s You! is the first game arriving as part of Sony’s Play Link series of games.
