The Sinking City 2 delivers strong Lovecraftian atmosphere, impressive visuals, and satisfying survival horror mechanics, but its momentum falters in the latter half. Repetitive enemies, frequent encounters, and forced evasion undermine the otherwise engaging combat and exploration, leaving a promising sequel that falls short of its excellent opening.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty remains a satisfying, parry-driven action RPG with deep combat and substantial content, but its Switch 2 port compromises visual quality too heavily for its performance targets.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword successfully modernises the series without losing its identity, pairing precise combat and satisfying Issen mechanics with strong historical fantasy storytelling.
The Blood of Dawnwalker makes an impressive debut with compelling writing, meaningful day night mechanics, and versatile combat.
Captain Tsubasa 2 improves on its predecessor with entertaining anime football and an expansive roster, but its slow Story Mode, repetitive presentation, bland custom protagonist, and limited multiplayer undermine the experience.
Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition is an impressive Switch 2 port that preserves the game's expansive world and striking visuals with surprisingly few compromises.
Man of Honor delivers a concise, well-written prequel story with strong character chemistry and satisfying Mafia fan service. Its limited campaign and frustrating stealth keep the expansion modest in scope, but expanded Free Ride activities and new weapons add welcome value for returning players.
Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass – Part 1: Bubbly Basin Review - Plenty to Discover Below
REANIMAL: The Prisoner preserves Tarsier's atmospheric horror and effective co-op design, but its brief runtime and episodic cliffhanger make it feel more like a narrative setup than a complete expansion.
PAW Patrol: Dino World delivers an accessible, kid-friendly adventure that makes good use of its dinosaur theme and simple co-op play.
Lies of P: Complete Edition delivers an exceptional soulslike experience with rewarding combat, intricate level design, and outstanding world-building.
Beast of Reincarnation delivers rewarding combat, memorable boss encounters, and imaginative world-building, but its slow narrative, inconsistent technical performance, and unrefined camera and lock-on systems undermine an otherwise promising action RPG. Its ambition is evident, even if the execution falls short.
