Shallow writing, combat, and divisive character design. Dragon Age: The Veilguard fails to be anything close to what BioWare used to be known for. This is hard to recommend to Dragon Age fans.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure tries to gracefully bring back Max Caulfield back into the spotlight, but it fails to recreate the charm of the original with its weak cast of characters and shallow plot.
If you’re into classic COD mechanics with some fresh twists, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is worth a shot. The new omnidirectional movement, return of round-based Zombies, and rewarding progression make this one of the more exciting COD entries.
SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS is the best modern Sonic game. The 3D and 2D levels are excellent, and Shadow is here. This is a must play if you are a long time fan or someone interested in the series.
1000xRESIST has bold storytelling, sci-fi overtones, and is truly captivating. Though the gameplay itself may be minimal, it's strong in character development and great voice acting, it a must-play for any fan of narrative-heavy games.
Starship Troopers: Extermination has some fun bug-slaying action, but poor performance and less-than-stellar content. It is fun, but matchmaking issues and a lack of campaign mode hamper replayability in co-op. Wait for fixes or sale before buying.
A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is a movie tie-in survival horror romp that works rather well as a game. If you enjoyed the movies, or if you enjoy horror games, this is sure to give you a good spook.
Until Dawn is a campy teen horror slasher with some easy-to-hate characters, which comes in a choice-based medium. You can choose to save them or have them all meet their demise. Buy if you haven't played it, or wait for sale if you already have.
Ravenswatch is a Diablo-like roguelike that plays around with popular folk tales. It has replay value with nine playable characters and a co-op mode. Although it lacks unique areas, it is a fun ride if you're okay with slightly slower gameplay.
Enotria: The Last Song is a visually stunning souls-like based on Italian folklore. While the game has a lot of customization, certain areas lack the polish that keeps it from being the best, but if you are a fan of souls-likes you may enjoy it.
