Bungie's Marathon is practically Escape from Tarkov in a space-age science fiction setting and with a bold, even garish audiovisual design. In places, it's so bold and artistic that we're left wondering, "What did the author have in mind?"
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is a solid spin-off offering several hours of engaging gameplay, though at times it feels more like an interactive movie than a game. It's not exceptional, but several factors make it definitely worth giving it a try.
Crimson Desert is a total sandbox offering almost everything a single-player fan could dream of. However, its vastness can be overwhelming, and quantity doesn't always equal quality. [Review updated after completing the game]
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 isn't a game that should attract every kind of player, but even though you might have avoided the first part for whatever reason, you definitely should give the sequel a chance. It is a much more spectacular, bigger in every way mega-game that stands out from its peers.
After years of waiting, STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl finally invites you to the Chernobyl Zone again. The vastness and raw beauty of this world dwarfs most other open worlds, but the sequel also suffers from errors and technical shortcomings.
After last year's failure, Call of Duty returns to form in Black Ops 6. The new version shines with completely new movement mechanics that rule in multiplayer, and completely surprises with several motifs in the story campaign. And it's still on Game Pass!
Still Wakes the Deep is a classic example of a walking sim in which only the plot and atmosphere really matter. However, the telling of the story itself has some flaws, and the greatest advantage of the game is its original setting and the Scottish accent in the dialogues.
Graven is another trip into the past and an attempt to make a modern game as if it were still the 90s. The creators did it too well, because their production seems even more hardcore and archaic than many titles from that period.
Ubisoft's Avatar surprised me because it turned out to be a proper sandbox and an even better recreation of the film universe in a video game formula. Frontiers of Pandora teleports us straight to a beautiful, open world that looks like the one from the cinema.
Hogwarts Legacy is the first of this year's big hot releases. Did it rightly take first place on the list of the most anticipated titles and is it a potential GOTY candidate? Here's our opinion – Revelio!
