Deceive Inc. is a joy of a game to play and is definitely something that will keep you coming back for more and more. While it does subvert from the typical FPS formula of bust in guns blazing.
Vintage spycraft pairs particularly well with the modern hero FPS.
Deceive Inc. is an awesome multiplayer game where you’ll need to sneak around and try to take out other agents while stealing and extracting the suitcase. It does need some compromises,but it is definitely playable on the Steam Deck!
There are a few other hiccups to be aware of with this game. I had occasional connection issues that saw me hang on loading screens or get booted from lobbies. I had more trouble with gamepad controls on PC. Remapping my gamepad controls to give myself control of my gadgets, which is a pivotal part of the game, is an issue in itself, but I also had several cases of my controls being outright unresponsive in either menus or the spectator screen.
There are things to love about Deceive Inc., but it has one crucial thing holding it back.
