Master Chief is back from the dead and he now faces his biggest challenge yet: ensuring that the Halo series endures. Bungie, the team that created the Halo games, has moved on to pastures new since the completion of Halo: Reach and so the job of creating the latest addition to Microsoft’s blockbusting sci-fi shooter series falls to new studio 343 Industries. But can their vision for Master Chief ...

There's no denying the immense replay value that Master Chief's latest outing has, and as a result many 360 owners will be playing it well into 2013. ...

343 Industries has managed to bring Halo: The Master Chief Collection to a stellar close with the release of Halo 4. Despite the campaign's storyline being a bit of a mess, the developer still managed to deliver an outstanding singleplayer experience that's worth a replay. Mix in esports-level multiplayer, and you have a recipe for an outstanding last stand.

You’ve only got to look at the sales numbers for the Halo franchise to know one thing: Halo fans love Master Chief. Halo 1, 2 and 3 sold 6, 8 and 10 million units respectively, while out of the four games since, only one could reach those dizzy heights, shifting 7 million units sold – that was the brilliant but Master Chief-less Halo: Reach. The fact that 343 Industries’ first move after picking u...
