If you are interested in this incredibly niche genre, you already know about Jurassic World Evolution 3. You’re either bemoaning the continued use of Jurassic Park/World dinosaur designs or praising some of the more accurate designs like the beautiful new Deinonychus. You’ve likely got opinions on the park rides, its connections to the Jurassic Park lore, and have planned out your following 15 parks in the lead up to playing the game. That said, how is the game? It’s pretty great.

Jurassic World Evolution 3 is just a small evolution of ideas from the previous installment. It may not be much, but it still allows you to create the Jurassic Park of your dreams. It's a must-have for dinosaur fans, but not necessarily for fans of tycoons and complex economics.

Whether you love dinosaurs or management sims, Jurassic World Evolution 3 has something to offer. And if you love both it's truly the game for you. With more dinosaurs to exhibit and an expanded range of customisation options, this is the biggest and best entry in the Jurassic World Evolution series yet, though those who have played previous entries might find it a bit too familiar.

Jurassic World Evolution 3 has the workings of a solid game, complete with options for newcomers and genre fans alike. The hardcore fans may not find enough here to satiate their sim appetites, but the appeal of dinosaurs is hard to resist. Even if this is a game, there aren't many consequences to your in-game actions; the big hurdle is learning to navigate the game's many menus while using a controller. Thankfully, you can pause the game and make choices, but even though it's a welcome option, this still feels more like a hotfix rather than a design choice. $60 is an attractive asking price, but it might be too much to ask for those on the fence, even if there are dinosaurs on the other side of said fence.

Thanks to its modular building systems, new juvenile dinosaurs, and engaging campaign, Jurassic World Evolution 3 is the best of the series. It feels like a more flexible and more refined version of a familiar game. If it had compatibility with prior content, it would be a 10/10, but Jurassic World Evolution 3 is a great foundation for expansion.

Jurassic World Evolution 3 feels like the sequel fans have been waiting for. It’s ambitious, dramatic, and far more rewarding to master. The dinosaurs are expressive, the systems deeper, and the parks finally feel alive. It still struggles with micromanagement fatigue and the occasional bug, but the creative freedom makes it easy to forgive. Frontier hasn’t reinvented the park sim, but it’s refined the formula beautifully.

Jurassic World Evolution 3 is a behemoth park management sim. It offers an engaging campaign, the opportunity to revive, breed, and genetically upgrade dinosaurs, and the ability to build your own scenery from scratch. But I’d still like more scope to flex my creative muscles, and certain mechanics like managing dinosaurs’ comfort become a bit of a chore. A satisfying evolution, but it’ll require some tweaks to become truly great.

Jurassic World Evolution 3 is a triumph for the Jurassic World Evolution series of games. Every inch of this game is oozing with quality-of-life improvements. I am seriously chomping at the bit to get my hands on free updates and further DLC.

It’s hard to be both a great introductory game into management sims and also offer the die-hards a level of depth that doesn’t leave them wanting, but Jurassic World Evolution 3 does it perfectly.

Jurassic World Evolution 3 is a fun sim with great stories, unique challenges and a sandbox that you can get lost in, all in a game that has the potential to become a favourite sim, no matter what kind of sim you are into.

A strong park builder whose charm is generally enough to make you see past its issues. Jurassic World Evolution 3 could have been even better without the busywork and bugs, which hold it back just enough to stop it from being an instant classic.

Free from last gen’s technical limitations and focused on creative control, Jurassic World Evolution 3 is the ultimate Jurassic Park video game and a culmination of Frontier’s entire body of work.

With the third installment in the Jurassic World Evolution franchise, Frontier Developments has delivered the ultimate fantasy to Jurassic Park/World fans: the ability to build and fully customize your own dinosaur theme park. With all of its new features and changes to existing systems, I’m convinced that Jurassic World Evolution 3 is the pinnacle of this series.

The best and most versatile Jurassic World Evolution title yet, even if it’s only a compsognathus sized step up from its predecessor, rather than a brachiosaurus length stride.

Jurassic World Evolution 3 offers more of the same, for good or ill, but it needed just a little more to entice long-time fans.

Jurassic World Evolution 3 builds on the series’ already satisfying formula to offer a new story, smart updates, loads of dinosaurs, and hours upon hours of management sim zen.

Frontier’s Jurassic World Evolution 3 evolves the formula with beautiful visuals and deeper park-building mechanics.

I’m not really convinced that we, as a species, are capable of learning from our mistakes. Whether that’s because of real-world events making satire completely redundant, or the fact that people keep building theme parks full of monstrous, toothy reptiles and being surprised when they’re found meandering around with the leg of a guest hanging out of their maw, it’s hard to say. Jurassic World Evolution 3 continues as the digital incarnation of that theme, but there’s more emphasis on the wellbeing of these creatures than ever before, while giving you the most advanced customisation tools the series has ever seen. Don’t worry, though, because the dinosaurs still get out, and Jeff Goldblum will continue to berate you for it.

Jurassic World Evolution 3 is, undoubtedly, the best entry in the series that brings many familiar things to let you craft the dino-park of your dreams while also adding several new features to make this entry the most robust and addictive in the whole franchise.

Jurassic World Evolution 3 is without a doubt the absolute best dino park management game that has ever been made. Any of the issues or complaints I had from the first two games have either been improved on or completely eradicated. The campaign and challenge modes are worth checking out, but you'll find yourself absolutely absorbed by building and maintaining your park in the sandbox mode. It's a magnificent blend of nostalgia and contemporary game design, and is well worth dumping hours of your life into.

Jurassic World Evolution 3 is by far the best the series has been, with new attractions that help creativity to blossom, even if familiar issues appear.
