Rising through the amateur ranks in Road to the Show and the retirement of Sets and Season in Diamond Dynasty have brought much needed life back to MLB The Show 25.

The 2025 Major League Baseball season has begun and just a couple of weeks ago we got the latest installment in San Diego Studio’s baseball sim series. MLB The Show 25 not only continues the Negro Leagues for a third straight game, but it also makes meaningful improvements to Diamond Dynasty and Road to the Show.

The same fun MLB The Show with more minor additions to make it worthwhile year in and year out.

MLB The Show 25 may not impress hardcore fans expecting deeper changes and better visuals, but it's still a polished effort and the definitive baseball game.

Most everything here is great and will give baseball fans their money's worth and then some, but those looking for something different may be disappointed. Still, the sheer amount of content MLB The Show 25 brings to the table...

MLB The Show 25 offers several improvements to Sony's iterative baseball title. San Diego Studio continues to produce an excellent baseball game. Whether or not it's enough to replace your copy of The Show 24 or even 23 is a different story, as the additions are good but not so much to make last year's title a lame duck.
