The 90s were a beautiful time for frenetic cartoons, colorful characters, and vampire-slaying. Now here's a game that brings all this together with new-20s sensibilities and humor. It's a bloody good time.
I didn’t run into any major bugs though a few key gameplay systems were never explained and I had to stumble into the answer. I thought my game had soft locked but it turned out there was a “find pink skull and put it on pedestal system” early on that showed up out of nowhere without any explanation. Once I realized I could pick them up it was easy-peasy but I felt lost for about an hour before I did.
A messy release, and not just due to the blood. The bugs and combat issues drag down an otherwise stellar debut title. Hopefully only the beginning for a studio that understands what makes video games fun.
