Remember Me Reviews
Professional reviews from gaming critics
When concluding Remember Me, it’s easy to think of a “missed opportunity” term, seeing its underdevelopment. However, Nilin’s quest deserves to be seen more as an ambitious effort. There’s a critical nuance in both. Its tropes may feel light, but only because they leave a yearning for much more.

As it stands, Remember Me is a game that offers about six to eight hours of disposable entertainment that defines pretentiousness and will be forgotten in an inconsequential passage of time.
A fascinating story that stumbles in the parts where you have to actually play it
The combat is the real diamond in the rough and makes the journey into Neo-Paris completely worthwhile. There are plenty of mistakes, but also a few triumphs. It's hard to recommend rushing out to get this one, as it feels more like a downloadable title due to its short playtime, but I would also be remiss to suggest avoiding it completely. Ultimately, it's an excellent first attempt by DONTNOD Entertainment - and should encourage more than a few gamers to look forward to their next offering.
A mixture of big ideas and low-rent execution, this is one memory worth forgetting.
Remember Me surprises in many pleasant ways as its fast-paced action beats play out. Although the narrative is perhaps a little predictable in places, it does have a few twists along the way that should be enough to keep you guessing right up to a final, titanic showdown inside a very alien environment.
Memories are what define us as a person. They are our past and they shape our future. Our experiences and how we remember them are a big part of the kind of human being we are today. Memories can be meaningful, sad, happy, emotional, soul destroying; they can effectively be whatever we want them to be.
