A fitness game that actually works, Ring Fit Adventure is colourful, fun, and offers a comprehensive workout.

Nintendo Switch's premier fitness game sets a new standard for what a workout game should be.

As someone who spent their entire life being extremely athletic and active, I love being back in the swing of things again. I actually look forward to my Ring Fit workout everyday. I feel like people of all fitness levels can hop into this game and benefit from it. When I started this back in January I was as out of shape as it comes, and Ring Fit Adventure eased me back into things at a pace that felt comfortable. The combination of walking, Ring Fit, and elliptical has shredded pounds off of me, and I couldn’t be happier about that!

Gimme an R! Gimme an I! Gimme an N! Gimme a G! What's that spell? A high-quality workout game with tons of variety that actually makes you sweat and love every minute of it.

Ring Fit Adventure is an excellent cross between fitness and action/adventure. Nintendo manages to create their best exercise game yet while weaving in classic adventure tropes to gamify the experience. Ring Fit Adventure is a great way to usher newcomers into gaming while helping longtime gamers stay in shape.

As far as workout games go, Ring Fit Adventure goes above and beyond in terms of polish. Not only is it a great way to workout, but it's also extremely fun and addicting. It's one of those games you just can't imagine being possible without that pinch of innovation that Nintendo is known for. If you're hard-pressed to find a gift for a Nintendo Switch owner this holiday, consider Ring Fit Adventure. Just don't blame us when you or someone you love gets totally swole.

Nintendo's Ring Fit Adventure is a creative new tool in the utility belt for Switch owners looking to shed some pounds and make some gains.

Two weeks of a workout regiment is not nearly long enough to give a full assessment of how effective it is, but it is enough time to see that Ring Fit Adventure is one well-crafted exercise game. Will it be good enough to help me overcome this lifelong struggle? Ask me again in a month and then five months after that.

Ring Fit Adventure may be the best exercise video game, blending strength and aerobics training into an impeccably designed package.

This is the sort of game that only Nintendo could make, and it's a follow-up to Wii Fit that feels worthy of that game's exercise chops while also far more firmly and confidently a video game. Minor hardware issues and a story that's frivolous to the point of bordering dangerously close to annoying, are small issues in the grand scheme of things. This has quietly arrived as one of the most original games of the year - and better yet, is one of my favorites.

Overall, these issues were minor in the grand scheme of things. Ring Fit Adventure is the most fun players can have doing these exercises, and it's the rare game that is great as both a video game and an exercise tool. It's the best exercise game since the now-defunct Xbox Fitness for the Xbox One Kinect and blows Nintendo's previous exercise games out of the water. It may be a little pricey at $79.99, but anyone looking for a way to make their daily exercises a little more engaging should definitely give it a look.

Ring Fit Adventure is a fun and wholly functional workout experience with Nintendo walking you through every step of the process to make sure you're doing things correctly, avoiding injury or over-exertion.

A vastly more interesting experience than Wii Fit that’s good enough to get RPG fans interested in fitness and fitness fans interested in role-playing games.

From a personal point of view, I wanted Ring Fit Adventure to be something that could help me on my road back to fitness after a prolonged illness and a couple of more serious medical problems. I am at a point where the desire to get back on the right track is strong after so long, feeling unable to do it. I felt that if Ring Fit Adventure was inviting to me in my current state, then surely it can help other people as well. As a fitness product, it is a great way to introduce yourself to diff...

Ring Fit Adventure is a marathon, not a sprint, just like adapting a healthy lifestyle should be. The last couple of weeks haven’t altered my life or made me look like The Rock all of a sudden, but as a way of getting into (or back into, in my case) a pattern of healthy living, it’s been a solid push in the right direction. After about 18 hours and more than half the adventure done, I fully expect to keep playing as the weeks go on. That’s not to see where Ring Fit Adventure’s fairly weak story goes, but rather to keep engaging with the fun and challenging blend of exercise and RPG mechanics it provides.
