Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar offers steady and reliable gameplay with an excellent balance between consistency and novelty that keeps you engaged through its many hours of content. There are plenty of small details and design choices which help to elevate the experience, and while, equally, some of the game’s systems could use a few tweaks, it’s an easy recommendation for fans of the genre.
Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar is not only a stellar remake of its DS counterpart, it may be the best entry in the series to date.
If you’re in the mood for an engaging, endearing, and cute farming game, Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar should tickle your pickle with aplomb. It might not have the depth of other farming sims, but it's fantastic to control, and the well-written (and voiced) characters alongside the many tasks and calendar packed with events to occupy your time, make you feel like part of a bustling little community. I fell in love with Zephyr Town, and thanks to the satisfying gameplay and intricately connected web of rewards, I can't see myself putting it down any time soon.
Originally released on the Nintendo DS in 2008 (back when it was still part of the Harvest Moon franchise), Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar is starting its new life in a post-Stardew Valley world, a game that is so good that it serves as the inevitable litmus test for any new farming/life sim contender. Not to be deterred, Marvelous Inc. has been on a remaking streak, bringing us modern versions of Friends of Mineral Town, Pioneers of Olive Town, and A Wonderful Life. Up until now, these faith...
Grand Bazaar has made a grand return, even if some elements have become unfocused in the transition to HD.
Whether you’re like me and are obsessed with making as much money as possible or you want to get to know the people around town, build relationships and even start a family, it’s a game that seems to let you play the way you want to and I think that should be commended.
Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar delivers a fun and cozy farming sim experience with wonderful characters, unique mechanics, and beautiful aesthetics.
With improved visuals and fully-voiced story scenes for the first time, Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar is, technically speaking, the best entry in the series yet. Add in more kinetic movement options, a bright and vibrant town to explore and a whole new market stall mechanic, and it's the best Story of Seasons game in other ways, too.
Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar reintroduces fresh ideas to the familiar gameplay loop that fans know and love.
There’s a lot to love in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar. It’s the perfect game to snuggle under a blanket with a hot tea, a welcome addition to the incoming fall and beyond.
Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar it’s a good farming game that sucks you in with its visuals and audio, stays cozy without being childish, and keeps a steady pace to stay engaging. The customization has come a long way from other games in the series; the town feels alive, and the chickens appreciate my forgetful nature. My time playing Grand Bazaar feels like working on a jigsaw puzzle: it takes time, but it is very rewarding once everything ends up pretty, the villagers feel happy, and my potatoes fly off the shelves. I am now attached to this farm, frantically running around, second-guessing my romance choices from the eligible bachelors. This is the good life.
STORY OF SEASONS: Grand Bazaar brings back a beloved farming simulation with a fresh coat of paint and some welcome improvements. This remake takes the 2008 Nintendo DS classic and updates it for modern players while keeping the core charm that made it special. In our review of STORY OF SEASONS: Grand Bazaar, we’ll explore how well the game balances nostalgia with modernization, from its unique bazaar system to the improved graphics and quality-of-life features that make farming life more e...
Amongst my many, many silly ideas, becoming a farmer has to rank pretty high amongst them. My long-suffering partner will roll their eyes out of their sockets when I talk about growing crops, herding the sheep in and working outside, not least because I have zero experience in this field. But not anymore! If Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar is anything to go by, I’ll be very good at being a farmer, not least because I’m willing to push myself to the point of exhaustion, I’ll work in torrential rain, and because a lot of your time seems to be spent chatting.
Ride the wind above Zephyr Town's rooftops as you manage your farm and create and sell goods in STORY OF SEASONS: Grand Bazaar.
Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar struggles a bit with its pacing, but the familiar gameplay loop of farming and harvesting crops and such to sell is as fun as ever. It’s perhaps not the strongest entry in the series, but there’s plenty of enjoyment here for series fans or people looking for a more laid-back gaming experience.
It’s the return of Story of Seasons, or for the older folks like me, the return of Harvest Moon. It’s been two years since A Wonderful Life released, and only a couple months since the spin off series Rune Factory released its most recent entry. This time though, it’s time to welcome the Grand Bazaar! Since you can’t simply release the same game time and time again, the titular Bazaar is the main new gimmick of Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar and it adds another level to the world buil...
Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar is much more than just a simple remaster of the original on Nintendo DS. The amount of work that went into this is more than I could've ever asked for, and I will forever die on the hill that this game can actually stand as its own title; not just as a shadow of its DS counterpart.
Story of Season: Grand Bazaar is such a sweet and whimsical game that has you farming, cooking, and running a booth at the bazaar. You will be addicted!
Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar is a fantastic first Story of Seasons game on the Nintendo Switch 2. It has a cute art style, and it is very cozy.
I do have a few complaints about the game, primarily regarding quality-of-life features. In particular, the fact that recipes for food and crafting can’t be seen from the menu is something I sorely missed. Perhaps the ability to craft from storage is asking for a bit too much ease of use, but it would also vastly improve the windmill functionality. Another small grievance is the music, which can become repetitive. It’s not egregiously annoying, though, and as someone who often played while watching television or listening to music, it wasn’t a dealbreaker.
