NeocoreGames delivers yet another satisfying and solid action role-playing game with The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III. Being the conclusion to a trilogy, the third installment includes all of the series favorite elements while also introducing a wealth of improvements. It's a great time to adventure once again to Borgovia.
The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III is a fun ARPG with plenty of nifty distractions. Nothing more, nothing less.
Overall it doesn’t seem like The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III is that bad of a game, and provides any kinds of gamers with at least some form of enjoyable entertainment; whether it’s the games witty comedy or colourful combat. It definitely did provide me with some hilarious and fun moments going through it. For hardcore fans, however, it may be one to skip - as a lot of the key elements of the previous Van Helsing games have been removed and may just leave you hungry enough to skip number three, returning to the previous two games.
The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing comes to a close in the final episode in the trilogy. While some elements will appeal to fans of the series, others will be troubling.
The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing 3 is a good-looking game but the lack of features from the previous entries are a sore point. Allocating skills and levelling up are hindered by a very cluttered UI that would put any newcomer off and the range of classes feels a little false given how similar some are to each other. The snarky commentary of the main leads may also irritate after a while but there’s also plenty of genuinely funny moments to liven up what would be a too-serious gothic...
The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III is difficult to recommend. Perhaps when it first released for PC five years ago it would get a little more leeway, but as there are better options for an action RPG available, some brand new to PS4 and some that have been out so long they're dirt cheap. It has a few bright moments, but I'd avoid this unless you desperately want to finish the trilogy.
