Mighty No. 9 is a serviceable callback to the original Mega Man that is brought down by baffling design decisions and a strict adherence to mechanics that were phased out for a reason.
Rounding it all out, Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- adds enough new content to appeal to both hardcore and casual fighting game fans alike. Although the game isn't as much an evolution of the franchise as Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- was at its release, it's still more than easy enough to...
Neon Chrome isn't a bad game by any stretch of the imagination, but it may not grab you if you've played anything of the same ilk.
Lumo
Lumo is a classic game that stays up to date with modern tools. The game's charming adventure easily bridges the gap between retro and modern.
Hard Reset Redux remixes the original cyberpunk shooter in smart ways while still retaining what made it unique years ago.
Soul Axiom has a few fantastic puzzles and some lovely environments. Sadly its also full of boring puzzles, an uninteresting story, horrid cutscenes, and some of the worst glitches I've seen in a video game.
Kick and Fennick is a cute platformer with cool ideas, but repetitive levels and sparse mechanics hold it back.
Marrakesh is a location rife with life, but disappointingly lacking in the same depth that Sapienza had. But in the end, still a worthwhile episode for the Hitman enthusiast.
Stellaris
Stellaris builds a foundation that will hopefully yield something wonderful within the next few years of patches and expansions. For now, this is a good game that I recommend for both the newcomer and the hardened veteran that probably already has this game.
Battleborn
Battleborn is a solid title that deserves to be kept an eye on. It's a fast and action packed shooter with a humourous vibe in it. It has some flaws that prevent it from reaching even higher peaks but nothing that few content patches can't fix.
Overwatch
Overwatch's core gameplay is fantastic, but it's a one trick pony that fails to hold your attention for more than a few matches at a time.
Senran Kagura: Estival Versus continues the series forward momentum of compelling character-driven narrative and addictive and accessible combat in the best-looking entry to date. The light-hearted tone pairs well with the brawler gameplay x musou meets visual novel. Don't buy into the hate and give this one a shot.
