Despite a handful of bizarre small changes from the original games, Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy is still quite a riot. Naughty Dog’s iconic “on-rails” 3D platformers, remade from the ground up by Vicarious Visions, is still a lot of fun, with the main character’s iconic spins making for what...
Pepper Grinder
The music is nothing but solid bops. None of it was too memorable but it got me in the mood to grind some monster butts until their skeletons popped out. There’s not much story, no voice acting, and I think the game is better for it. A recent port on...
Cat Quest III
Cat Quest III is a remarkably simple but fun adventure game for all ages. I enjoyed its numerous pirate, cat, dog, and rat puns all the while taking on foes of all sizes. There’s a good amount of weapon and armour types and the challenges can keep those of all...
As far as bugs or issues with the game go I didn’t have any major bugs but I do have some issues. A few of the biomes feature plants that explode when you get close. In the first area, they not only deal damage but blind you for ten seconds...
My main issue with the title was the regenerating enemy types that show up later on. They were not nearly as fun to fight as the main antagonists and I ended up lowering the difficulty to normal to take them head-on. It’s a Play Anywhere game on Xbox, which means...
Bug-wise I had no issues in my time playing. The port felt rock-solid, never having any major issues with how it ran. I just wish I found it more fun to play. Launching at $20 it’s not the worst remaster price point. A playthrough should take most roughly 7 hours...

An incredible, nigh-on herculean effort from a very small team, developers Microbird Games have made something very special in Dungeons of Hinterberg. In my 20 or so hours exploring, I found a successful medley of genres with enjoyable combat and a variety of gameplay mechanics resulting in something uniquely memorable.
The game’s soundtrack helps give that sense of a lived-in, surreal noir cityscape. It sounds like a full-on orchestra with lots of brass, piano, and a grand style that you rarely get in media today (let alone video games). There are two main characters in the game, your detective and...
Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is a lot of fun if you engage with all of it. At first, I was flying through the main quest before I slowed down and explored every inch of each map. Once I made that change I went from enjoying my time to loving...
Magical Delicacy has a strong set of accessibility options that can help gameplay progression, however. From platforming simplification to removal of quick-time events to even UI scaling and typeface changes, there’s a lot of options here that I really appreciate seeing as they’re not always common functions in games.
Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus is among the best games I’ve played and easily stands alongside the other greats in this genre. Have you been waiting to play Silksong for years and years? Well you’ll still be waiting, but this game is an absolute must play. And at a...
