This tale demands more detail. It requires more time spent in filling out the world and its characters. If the game had spent more time on these points, we’d be looking at one hell of a harrowing and affecting story. As it stands right now though, Milky Way Prince feels...

If you’re open to a bit more restrictive of an experience than you may remember, Destroy All Humans is still a fun time. Personally, I’m down with seeing this franchise revived, and I hope that this release leads to remakes of later games in the series.

Rock of Ages 3 appears to be more of the same. It’s crafted well…but it’s just not something that fits in my personal taste. For a tower defense fan whose never tried out the franchise, this is likely a good starting point. Otherwise, only hardcore fans need apply.

However, frustrations aside, Carrion was still an entertaining playthrough. As one of Devolver’s major releases of the year it doesn’t quite hit the high mark I expected. It doesn’t need to be a breakthrough experience, though. It’s just plain fun, and I could see myself playing through again.

This is a game I had been waiting for for years, after first trying it out at PAX West way back in 2017. Looking back at my experiences with that demo, Necrobarista has come a long way from its initial previews, and definitely surpassed the already heightened expectations I personally...

As what is apparently his first game, though, what Schmied has crafted is impressive. Evan’s Remains shows he’s got the skill in design and presentation and a solid grasp on storytelling, so I’m looking forward to seeing whatever his next project may be.

I can’t see myself continuing to play this game, though, especially since I already have a copy of Future Tone with all of my scores and everything unlocked in it. The fact that Mega Mix is portable means little to me, as my Switch nearly never leaves its dock anyways.

Infinite would be an easy 7/10…if parts of its platforming engine, parts that are mandatory to complete the game, didn’t rely on a coin-flip to determine whether they would actually work or not. With important functions being so obviously broken, I can’t in good faith give out anything more than...

Overall, Final Fantasy VII Remake is a stunning game and absolutely worth your time, so long as you go into it with an open mind and don’t expect it to stubbornly adhere to a nearly 25-year-old tale. I, for one, am rabidly excited to see where future entries will take...

The difficulty near the end of the game did get frustrating, though, and playing through stages paired up with music I wasn’t really feeling did create some dull moments here and there. Overall I feel it was worth the experience, and I’m looking forward to replaying the game in the...

Its budget price at launch ($15.99 on sale at the time of writing) makes some of the shortcomings easier to swallow. If you’re looking for a cheesy yet endearing romcom romp, something to tide you over between heavier narratives, Half Past Fate deserves at least a glance.

These presentation issues definitely temper my excitement for what is easily one of the more accessible fighting games I’ve had the opportunity to play. Then again, that feeling of accessibility likely comes from the fact that I’ve mostly focused on the single-player mode here – a mode that everyone, not...
