Mirror's Edge Catalyst
One of the biggest changes to the gameplay of the franchise is the higher emphasis on combat, which to be fair is handled quite elegantly. Faith has quite an extensive move set when it comes to first person combat, which in many ways is as fluid as the actual traversal...
All things considered, the game does run reasonably well. A large-scale game like this is bound to put some stress on the console’s hardware, which creates frequent frame drops when you get closer to the city and once the sun goes down. It never wanders into an unplayable state, though,...
A complaint regarding the new additions could be the fact that a lot of the focus has been put upon expanding the single-player experience, which may have been better spent expanding the multiplayer and co-op aspects of the game, but for all of the content that’s there, this is only...
Battlefield 1 is undoubtedly the breath of fresh air that both the genre and market have desperately been craving for quite some time. It’s accessible to both returning and new players, though it retains all of the roots that the franchise is known for. Maps are well-crafted, gunplay is responsive...
Assassin's Creed Unity
The biggest change in gameplay in the game is an optional one, but co-op is one of the strongest additions the franchise has had on a multiplayer front in a long time. Providing players with both regular missions and co-operative heists there is a good amount of content to explore...
My expectations for Forza Horizon 3 have been quite high over the past few months, but after hours and hours of gameplay, extensively delving into each gameplay feature, it’s safe to say that Playground Games has managed to shatter every single one of them. Providing a deep, fun and addictive...

Grand Theft Auto V
Arguably the biggest addition in this version is the addition of a first-person mode, which marks the first time any such mode has been implemented in a Grand Theft Auto title. Rather than being a tacked-on feature, Rockstar’s first-person support actually outdoes a lot of games, which is surprising considering...
Forza Motorsport 7 has a few issues under the hood that need to be addressed, but the strengths outweigh its weaknesses as the game offers the most diverse and well-presented title in the franchise to date, along with a contender for the racing game of the year.
And last but not least: Exo Survival. In Exo-survival four players are given the objective to fight through various amounts of enemies which enter the map on a wave-basis. Certain waves may also contain specific objectives; such as collecting certain items or performing specific actions. Exo Survival offers a nice...

But whilst the game’s core gameplay is excellent, the question remains how this gameplay is packaged as a whole. Focussing on a pretty straightforward career model DiRT Rally is pretty much the definition of grinding at times, which is problematic due to the fact that the events in the available...
