Octopath Traveler 2 is a gorgeous JRPG that improves on the original in almost every way. And it is a blast to play on Steam Deck!
PARANORMASIGHT: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo is a fantastic interactive visual novel that plays flawlessly on the Steam Deck without any changes needed!
Gotham Knights feels like a regression of the Arkham series in both gameplay quality and how it runs on Deck. While recent updates have made it better and more playable, it still can't perform in all the areas it needs to.
FATAL FRAME: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse is a fantastic survival horror game that, even with its flaws, still has an incredible atmosphere and story around it. And with a minor change, the game can be fully enjoyed on the Steam Deck!
The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure is the great conclusion to the Crossbell arc in the fantastic Trails series, bringing in some new mechanics while keeping the staples of the Trails games that make it so great. And with no setting changes needed to enjoy optimally, this is a...
Borderlands 3 is the newest game in the looter shooter series and takesit to new heights with some great new mechanics and refined gunplay. And with some tweaking, the game runs better than expected on the Steam Deck!
Lone Ruin is a hauntingly beautiful roguelike that makes up for its shortcomings with its visuals and gameplay. On top of that, this one runs wonderfully on the Steam Deck as a Best on Deck game!
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is one of my top 3 souls-like games and shines with its combat and setting, and if you are willing to compromise and deal with some initial issues, the game can be played on the Steam Deck.
Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout is a wonderful entry point into this awesome JRPG series and, with some tweaking and a new file, this will be an amazing experience on the Steam Deck.
Digimon World: Next Order is a grindy, but wonderful monster-collecting RPG that runs beautifully on the Steam Deck! Some changes to the settings can enhance the experience, but it isn't necessary.
Company of Heroes 3 is an epic RTS that takes a little getting used to with a controller, but when you do, and with some tweaks, this can be a great game for your Steam Deck.
Like a Dragon: Ishin! is a wonderful remake that keeps the beauty of the Yakuza/LaD series alive. On top of that, it can run really well on Steam Deck!
